Abstract
Prevention for car accident is one of main issue in the car-oriented society. As of method for this kind of prevention system is estimation for driver's conditions based on human sensing. This research aims at the development of measurement system for human behavior by using contact sensing on a steering wheel. In this paper, sensing system using small pressure sensors array has been proposed, and designing method for their sensor part on steering wheel based on fundamental analysis for driver's operations of steering wheel and its varidity have disccused. Finally, characteristics of proposed sensor system have been evaluated through the implementation on real steering wheel device.
